First week itself grandma was critically ill, stayed in Malaysia for a week and a half alternating between the kampung and a hospital in ipoh. Had to see her and check on her hourly status.

3 days after we returned to Singapore, my grandmother was gone.

So there went another week of funeral. By no means could any of this time of about 3 weeks be spent on studies as first, theres a lot to do for funeral and visits, second, i couldnt pack my books, and third, i have no mood to.

So my midyears, bio included, math for sure, is going to the dogs. Nevermind, he can climb out of maggotholes deeper than this.

I hope i can really pull off PW. It will be great. It isnt as bad as FPS so far, so Mdm Janice Lim, wherever you are, you have my heartmost gratitude for your guidance 2 years ago. (!!!)

So now i'm just thinking out what to do for PW, watching Kamen Rider Decade, waiting for 2 big toku movies, starting on CLANNAD anime and waiting for another anime's second season to come out in october. :)

Tell u all something Singhau never did in his life.

No its not that he found a girlfriend, had sex, or got his first kiss stolen.

None of the above. I know many of you were hoping its either of the above.

On the contrary, he wrote a Chinese essay for midyears titled "我婆婆的家". Translated for any nonchinese people, it means : My Grandmother's house. The essay wanted students to compare 2 different feelings about a certain place he visited in different times. And the highlight of this?

I quietly broke down writing about his childhood times spent in that house. I hve never done so during an exam. I was just overwhelmed recalling the times i spent there in the house where my dad grew up in, and where part of me grew up in.

But dont worry about him, Singhau's perfectly fine.

10 May 2009

HAPPY MOMMA DAY!

Been pretty darn busy this weekend. If there ain't monday I'll be so much deader.

SYF CHOIR JUDGING we got gold...with honours. We were the first to break cj's performing arts records in all history. Yea man. I'm just somewhat more subdued than others who scream shriek cry tears of joy. Out of 17 choirs 7 got honours. Thats quite a number.

Tua ji's back from new york. She slept the whole day and its too hot for her even in changi airport. Woke up at 5.30 to get her. Thunderstorm made the airport like a freezer even when i have so much blubber. And my sis was sweating.

It was raining so hard this morn and then it had to be so hot for the rest of today.

AAARGH

7 April 2009

I'm not feeling too well.

Some people in class are eating away years from my life expectation. Especially in projects carrying CA marks other than PW. I hate to admit, though I know I may be setting too high a standard of work and cooperation and whatever else, and that I cannot influence others to become more ideal ppl that I can work with, I cannot afford to work with people who are EXTREMELY SO BLUR and JUST SIMPLY CANNOT...

...calm down Singhau. Take it easy. A blog's no place to dump your Tyrannosaur of a temper.

I bet it's really big. Make it a Giganotosaur. Bigger and fiercer than a tyrannosaur...

okay. It's just that there are ppl who I end up working to get marks with who I simply cannot work with, because they will end up adding to my workload instead of reducing it and make me waste precious time and effort explaining over and over again, then finding out very quickly that they don't remember ANYTHING i instructed them to do, and making me clean up their horrible mess just to help both them and myself to get marks.

As far as possible, I will have to put careful thought into choosing who to work with in future, or else everyone, not just me, will have to suffer the opportunity costs. These in no way justify just how frustrated I can get whenever these ppl unwittingly make my life hard. Point made.

Some particular friends also ask me a lot (rather often) on what to do especially in a special issue. Though I'll dispense advice whenever I think I should, so that it could probably make you feel more at ease, to treat it as something clinical is a bit too much. Kudos to those who understand what I mean. For others, don't worry, it's not important but you'll know more next time. My best advice: Don't even think of having him/her at such a hectic year unless you want to just end up as the not-so-well off A Level graduates. Trust me. Of course not everyone can look ahead, but I think that more people should be thinking about their futures in the long run and not look at present times. You never know, Singhau may never go looking for lovers in his whole life UNLESS maybe he finds that lovely sexy someone (OMG SINGHAU WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?!??!!??!!!!) who can melt his heart.

So unglam and cheesy Singhau, you can do better than that.

And also, don't force me to lie just to achieve something for self-gain. White lie, black lie, green, red, blue, yellow whatever lie. I'll have none of it, and it just tells me more of your personality and how you'd probably do things in future. Heed my warning. Singhau probably possesses an extremely high level of incorruptibility, remains to be properly challenged. Any takers...

Why does Singhau sound so grim and wierd? It's not natural of him...

It's time to cheer up, boy! HAHAHAHAHAAnyways.

CJ Life has both its ups and downs, just as expected of JCs in general. Don't worry about me, I'm perfectly fine (are you sure?) and I just need to let out a little steam and have a bit of fun now and then (oh.). Though choir's a infernal affair it is still fun as well and has so many great things and people to learn from. Can't wait for SYF and finland. Math is still quite a thorn in my ass but I'll figure it out as I have always managed to in the past.

GP is looking for a challenge with me...looks tough for now but with Singhau you don't know how far he can go. Chinese is fine. Less stressful environment and more attentive and engaging and FUN and maybe slack compared to PHS nonsense. I just have to take issue with the rote-based learning and memorycentric way of teaching and learning all sciences. Though bio may be a little interesting, I have to admit I'd rather not follow the rest blindly into that way of learning. Chem is dull lectures with little good control over the students and just feeding with silver spoons sleeping drugs. Econs is a little slow for me, and could be more intensive.

But that's singapore system, its what NIE churns out, it's singaporean. Why do so many simpleminded people think I'm being too critical of what singaporeans generally accept and try to make me more singaporean than I am? Maybe I'm taking you guys a little too seriously. Yes Singhau knows he is a VERY SERIOUS person. Singhau may also be very odd person one leh. I just don't accept everything I'm fed with and may vomit a bit when my stomach thinks it's not good for me, especially the image of typical singaporeans.

No it doesn't mean that I don't like you lovely people at all. I simply mean that I don't always see the need or pragmatism of being carved into other images. No, Singhau probably loves all of you deep in his heart. He's just a little different I guess.

What a wierd wierd post. Singhau never posted such weird things here before.

Just too wierd.

No, delete it. I swear its good.

Singhau enough enough gou le

-.-''

Hahahahaha just for pure randomness. Fear not. Singhau is also known as crazy to many ppl.

5 March 2009

A long-overdue entry about my new life in cj.

Summary: It's a million times better than PHS. And yet at the same time a lot more.

Girls are aggressive here. I think it's due to us being largely from all-boys and all-girls schools, so the sudden shock of sharing much more classroom time with the opposite...hmmm how should i put it...nevermind. Some examples to illustrate this is that they often ask who we boys like (I'm not an exception at all), who we think looks pretty. My answer was "not my taste". So what's my taste, my class girls asked, and i answered "undefined'' and that set them off laughing. BGRs crushes and infatuations seem to be bread and butter of their talk every week.

Another slightly more aggressive instance was just yesterday...the entire school ended at one and we were all supposed to be at MacRitchie Reservoir for cross-country, so we had some time to slack. I left the classroom for a brief while, and when I came back, our more gungho girls were outside of class waiting for me...they were trying to deceive me into getting locked in the classroom with the whole bunch of them. They tried to drag me inside but failed in the end...turns out that they were all playing truth or dare, asking that genre of issues...and one of the twins was dared/forced to hug a man. In the end they were all crazy and someone else became their victim. Not me. They were like saying "Singhau can you come in and help us with the projector?" Afterschool some more. Like I can be duped into that so easily. Some of our class boys have even started developing affections (why is singhau so elaborate?) for particular girls in my class, though they deny it, constant observation and irritation/rubbing it in will make them show obvious signs, like overreacting at the girl's name, etc. Hahahaha I however am immune. So far. Because I have higher priorities than such things.

CJ is also a school crazy about frisbee. You can see people playing ultimate frisbee in the parade square every day afterschool. They're very into it.

Homework's a bit hard to handle, so whenever I can I do it in our nice school library, where there are many tables, enough for about 200 to seat themselves comfortably. It's a very conducive place too. Though their collection is small and just limited to textbooks and some literature texts, it's still fine enough. The only thing that amuses me a little is that the library has their own 10 commandments. It's like telling me 10 of them passed down by God's own mouth isn't enough for them and they need to create another 10 themselves.

CJ's tolerance of other religions is also a lot better than PHS. The principal brother paul is one of the best I have ever rated. Our school song is also very short, less than 8 lines long.

Mass PE is a little more disturbing but all the more a worthwhile part of CJ life. A typical session is started off with us running around the entire school twice...its like triple the size of phs parameters. On the first day we had to get through the gate within 12 min (a K.O. pace as its equivalent to 14min for 2.4km which is a gold...for girls). I didn't make it, so we had to run another 3 rounds later into recess not as a punishment but a "nourishment". It's all run a little like military camp. Then we had to do 20 push ups, 20 situps, 20 full jumpingjacks then 20 burpees (shout for every move 'one (down) two (leg out) three(leg in) WONDERFUL(JUMP)). When we were all done we had to shout and respond to our PE teachers questions...

PE:HOW ARE YOU FEELING?

US:WONDERFUL!

PE:HOW MANY MORE?

US:MANY MANY MORE!

PE:HOW FAR?

US:ALL THE WAY!

PE:ANY SWEAT?

US:NO SWEAT!

And we do the entire exercise process another 2 times. No sweat when we were all making puddles on the floor. Subsequent mass PEs we had to incorporate diamond pushups (INDEX TO INDEX PALM TO PALM) and spider pushups (HANDS AND FEET ONE METRE APART) . My whole body aches like hell, my left knee old injury is very bad. We had to pick our way through some simple clues to head to several places there to play simple, non-dirty games.

After lunch we had quite a long break, but most of it was used to prepare for our finale. The afros all had red cupid hearts and arrows painted on their faces. Guys and girls alike got red slips of cloth to wear as bandannas, headbands, or on their hair. Some also hairsprayed their hair red or wore red 'tiaras' all in the name of Aphrodite.

Finale started at 4pm when all 6 houses were at a mega high with roof-shaking cheers and screams of excitement. Each house performed a skit and finished the play that started on monday, the first day of orientation. All were exciting and in some cases, boys were really gay...girls real bitchy...omygosh. Our skit may not have been the best (that goes to Apollo house), and I thought we may not be able to outcheer the other houses' sophisticated cheers. But we won anyway...and we all had the very finale of finales: the mass dance.

We didn't stick to our dance partners. Some poor fellow boys encountered girls all too unwilling to dance, or all taken...I was nearly one of them had I not went straight to the back of the audi hall. There there were peeps who either didn't want to dance, feel too shy to, or simply can't get a dance partner and hence shall not stick out as a sore thumb in a sea of dancing, crazy people. There I met a girl from Zeus and in 26 and...singhau has never done such a thing before...asked her to dance, which she obliged and thanked me for later on for letting her have fun after the mass dance ended.

After finale and camwhoring, at seven plus, 10 of our IG16 people met up and took a bus to orchard road. We had Japanese dinner at the Grand Cathay, my meal cost 9.60 and total cost for all of us was 120.00 including GST. The others had mostly sushi...99 cents per dish...I had just a coke costing 1.60 and a ebi don costing 8.00, which was more worth than sushi. Our big Indian friend provided much entertainment cracking jokes...while we waited half an hour to get a table for ten he cracked a damn funny joke involving dim sum which he also told the young waitress asking how many people we were dining with...making her laugh so much and brighten her dull job. What a great guy, later during dinner we laughed so darn hard listening to him. I also talked and found similar interests with one of our member who I hadn't interacted much with other than just share the cheer sheet once. Great night, I came home at 11 plus.

Soooooooo tired.

So far it seems that it feels easy to be at home with just about anyone in CJ, like a big giant family. Everyone around me in CJ seems so friendly and warm, warmer than PHS. Maybe I'll enjoy my 2 years here.

On Monday I will report in full uniform.

6 Feb 2009

Ahhh my legs feel dislocated.

Yesterday I wore my only pair of PE attire so in the end I couldn't wear it for today...so today amongst the great sea of blue people in CJC there was just one big fat carrot roving around. It's the old choir tee...

Today we were split into classes and I was the only peep from IG16 to end up in 1T27. Good that I got the combination I wanted. This class is dominated by 16 girls versus a mere 8 boys...one boy's called Chris and looks Eurasian...and great guys called Jason and Leong Jie...a pair of malay twins with similar names I can't recall...a extroverted SC girl called Gwen and so many more...

We all started rather slow but very quickly warmed up and became really united and great friends with each other starting at the name wacko game. We were just as great or even faster to socialise than old 3/4Faith...people in my class are more entu and gung ho than IG16. Lol we dominated the day's many games and challenges...we won almost all the games and never lost, only drawing twice...what a nice first bonding session as a class. Our home tutor/form teacher is called Ms Lynette LaBrooy, and it seems that she's quite good and influential, so things look good so far. She'll teach GP and her English seems normal. So far. I taught them the Everybody Dance Now cheer, modified to become a class cheer we had yet to use (we used twentyseven oi and two-seven dynamite). Singhau never seemed so entu before...this better not kill his English standards.

Can't wait for tomorrow, when we'll have our Mt Faber trip and finale night. I hear that its going to be held in a function room in our school that has a disco ball...and since the house skits have to be disco-themed I guess it's gonna be a SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!!!

So I'm enjoying CJ lots. Let's see how it ends next year.

GO AFRO!!!

5 Feb 2009

Whoah I'm kinda exhausted after dragonboating yesterday. But today we still had some nasty games that took quite a bit out of my legs.

In the morning I met Eugene from 4E in school. We talked a bit and then his first day was spent in Kallang...poor guy had no idea that he needed to bring new clothes.

First up on the menu was a mass game in the field consisting of several stations. First station was the 'armpit game' where you had to take two wet sponge balls, one under your armpit and the other between the knees and hop over to a bucket and fill the buckets with water. Everyone in the group must do it to fill the bucket to a certain marker. Next was to get everyone to roll almost 10m on the ground, sideways and get really muddy. I was first to finish rolling the distance, but then came the hard part - we all 23 ppl had to form a human caterpillar by bracing our legs against the peep in front of us (boy girl alternating) and then heave the entire caterpillar across another 10m, by then everyone was so drained and dizzy from rolling. After that we had to all wet our hair and lather it in shampoo then use our bubbles and foam formed to lather a guy from top to toe, then frogleap towards a flag, spin round the flag 10 times, do 5 jumping jacks then use your mouths to find a bean in a pile of cornstarch. Then we had to run over to the giant staircase about 4 storeys high one by one, climb it fast, take a bite out of a huge slice of watermelon and then run down, and this goes on till the facils can't see anymore red on the watermelon. Our group IG 16 came second out of 5 groups. By then we were all muddy, shampooey and dead exhausted.

After washup and lunch, we went for mass dance session again, where we finally finished the dance steps. I discovered that my dance partner is vietnamese (!!!), she's going biochem and lit, I'm going biochem and econs.

After the dance, which was like 2 plus, we all finished learning all our team cheers (whoops, NOTE: all index groups or IGs are separated into houses, each named after a greek god or godess. I'm in aphrodite...godess of love...-_-'') played games or slacked til 3 plus before final announcements and then dismissal.

Tomorow we will go to that 4km bridge trail near Vivocity and play more games, IF I end up in a class that's going to do so tomorow. We will know our allocated classes tomorow and all activities will sync with them...sigh I like the IG 16 peeps...impossible for all of us to end up in the same class...

4 Feb 2009

After flagraising we all took coaches to Kallang river. Smelly and hot place, I'll never go there again.

Crap crap crap. Most of the dragonboat peeps in our boat were girls and they tired out easily, making racing other dragonboats filled with boys a difficult business. But at least everyone had a little fun. Most of them hadn't gone dragonboating before. Even though today was cloudy and fair, I still got sunburn...on my face and arms. Lucky I have no red stockings.

Then after the dragonboats, we went on exhausted to do other games against IG 05, and we beat them in more games. One of them was a particular game that the facils called 'CJ Tradition' : the spaghetti game. Very simple. A boy will pair up with a girl and then bring a fragile stick of spaghetti over a distance of about 6m to the other side. The catch - the pair have to put one end of the stick in their mouths, squat, and move sideways. Break that fragile stick and you and your unlucky partner must take the shorter portion between your lips, lovingly bring your lips closer and continue. Drop the stick out of one's mouth and the stick becomes even shorter. Win by getting everyone across first. I had to do this with a another girl who entered by DSA. We were the second pair to go, and we were one of the only 2 pairs who never broke the stick, thanks to our idea of holding each other's shoulders to make it more stable, some hints by our facils, and then syncronising steps. Slow and steady wins the race, IG 16(us) got everyone over, although the amusement and silly hilarity was all overwhelming, seeing other pairs break their sticks, end up being forced to put their mouths closer to each other as if about to **** and then just dropping the sticks and being so darn embarassed and paiseh!!! Wahahahahaha so darn stupid game. Watch out UVPHS juniors, if your alumni comes to help plan choir camp, you guys are so dead.

Lunch was terrible.

After a washup in school, we all had a cca bazaar. I signed up for hockey, their band was sucky, their fencing uninspiring and their judo nothing like wushu or taijiquan. Released at 5.30, got home at 6.20.

Feeling my skin radiate so much heat I bet if I used a infrared scanner my arms would be so red hot.

Sadly, people here aren't so gung ho or outgoing. Except the facils, people seem rather too civilised. But no matter.

No idea what's up tomorow but there's definitely mass dance practice.

2 and 3 Feb 2009

YADDADADADADADADADADATATA

CJ Orientation was fun fun fun, will last til saturday for a night fever finale!!!

Went to recon CJ the morning i recieved my results. When we were there at 8.30am we saw lots and lots of people appealing to enter CJ. The school is a little cramped and uninspiring, but windy and ok.

Then on monday, dada dropped me off at school. Never seen so many girls in school my whole life. Lots of SJI, St Gabriel's and those affiliated catholic school peeps, mostly from all-boys or all-girls schools. But according to the blunt but down to business Brother Paul, the jc priest and principal who's like a thousand times more courteous and straight to the point than that PHS one we had for 4 years, this year's intake was huge - students from non affiliated schools outnumbered the affiliated ones, about 450 vs 350, and on the first morning of release of JAE results, CJ got close to 300 appeals(!!!). Brother Paul said he'll be happy to have at least 40 peeps to appeal to other jcs. And he knows what are the subjects well, explaining them during subject combination talk that first morning, a great change from the hypocritical and self-pompous *****

Though the student council's facilitators' first performances were kinda messy, the orientation soon proved to be great fun, the first icebreakers helping us to ease up and learn each other's names. We were all split into groups according to our index, each group of about 20 people i think...and we stick with the group til we are split into classes. All nice people, big mixture of schools.

The highlight of the first day was the mass dance practice all of almost 40 groups had in their audi hall - split into shifts, a number of groups would learn how to dance the same mass dance the facils performed for us for the start of orientation. And the catch - each boy had to get a girl within his group for a dance partner and then hold her hands during the dance, which involved some spinning the gal and all that kind of stuff. And after we all started losing shyness we all started to enjoy ourselves-the whole hall of about 6 groups enjoyed the mass dance session and had a helluva time. The girl I got is from st Margaret's and rather nice and good-looking - we both enjoyed ourselves lots. :)!!! that is so not me now. I won't date her at any rate, though. Haha. It's just my first time doing such a thing, holding the hands of another girl and dancing with her...omygosh that is so not Singhau. We had another session the next day and another on thurs, as its a looong dance item with many different kinds of moves, all for the finale on sat night.

Then one of the facils in charge of my index group asked me which school I was from...the word 'Presbyterian high' lit up a bulb and she asked if i was in choir...turns out she was from hihs choir. She asked if Ms Yee's still conducting and then she and her friends asked me to join choir.

Food's better than PHS. Reasonable price with decent selection. Had jap food twice. After lunch we played games against other groups, games i think i had fun playing in pri sch TAF Club by memorable Mr Wong.

Took 966 home, bus stop is just outside school and ride is 35 min. Poor AJ friends of mine had a boring orientation that was not an orientation.

2nd day was longer and down and dirty. Full of water games and splattered with colourdyed starch water. Won some parts of the game many times, including one where a line of chairs is set up in the field and then colourstarchwater is poured on all seats. Each group lined up along one end of the chairs and then send ppl one by one to sit on the chairs and move quickly on the chairS to get to the other side and intercept the opposing team. Then we duel the enemy with rockpaperscissors and winner gets to move on to be intercepted by the next enemy. Must get to the other end, my group won, with 5 to 3. Of the 5, I scored 3. LOL

Tomorrow we'll go Kallang for dragonboating.

Am having so much fun des!

Most exciting orientation I ever had.

Made loads of friends!!! But we wont stay together for the rest of the year, I hear lots of boys in my group going phy/chem and lots of girls going bio/chem. I applied to the biochem, awaiting results.

FUN FUN FUN

30 Jan 2009

We start school again in 2days. There, they told me what they didn't want to tell over a phone, and the info made things so clear and easy I wonder what's the problem with whoever handles their hotline.

1. If I want to enlist early now, I would go for medical screening, and then the results may come out around march at least.
2. Once I get the result, I will wait another SIX months, which means at LEAST til September, before I can report for duty...If I am graded Pas A or B...and then the lady at the counter added...
3. ...If I am graded Pas BP, which simply means I'm either obese or overweight, then I can only report for duty at 2 designated times each year, which is in December and June, of which June I cannot do so within 2009.

So my...our...directive is clear. Thanks a lot, you lucky devils. If not for you I would have already begun my first year in University as I type now, in some first-tier university somewhere in New York or California, and I would have gotten my first degree by the time I finish A levels and NS.

Too bad, with just Os I can already enter quite a number of first-tier unis, but on the bright side, taking A levels will increase my uni scope, and maybe also save resources because I can use A level to cut off credit hours and advance faster (but by no means as resource-conserving as taking 2 years of JC education and going to uni). Lucky lucky devils Singapore really knows how to keep men in the country longer.

Bad news would be that I'd probably start university at the same time as my younger sister who's doing PSLE this year. It's very weird thanks to the age gap. Thanks a lot Singapore. Had I enlisted last year around march, I might have gotten a chance.

Hope that the JAE won't screw itself on me. All choices are science, and the first 4 in order: Anderson, Catholic, St Andrew, Nanyang.

So now I will have to wait...

...wait...

...and wait...

Let's see where I'll end up and which PHSian I'll see there.

Hope Hope Hope

And here's a small preview of whats on in a city far, far away, taken a few days back by someone special.

http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/eclipse030192/Buffalo%20NY/

14 January 2009

So all the cats are outta their bags.

I honestly thought i'd get maybe 12-14 for L1R5, had quite a number of nightmares about the results release day. Then once they started releasing the result slips at random, I really got a bad headache and a gastic bout. Ouch

Then I got mine. I was so fuzzy in my head trying to help calculate kenneth and leslie lau's L1R5 first (we didn't realise its inside the sealed letter containing form A) before I even took a proper look at my own results. Then I finally opened mine.

English-A1 (first phase of relief, i was worried if I've screwed my essay)
Combined Humans-B3 (OKAY...)
Geography-A1 (Gasp i pulled it off after a dismal Sec 4 performance!!!)
Mathematics-B3 (OKAY OKAY NOT AN A1 OR A2 BUT STILL BARELY OKAY OKAY...)
AdditMath-B3 ( I PAAAAASSED )
Physics-B3 (Worry Worry must be that screwed SPA)
Chemistry-A2 (NOT A1 DUE TO MODERATION...haiz)
Biology-A2 (FINE.)
Chinese-(BIG SHOCK!)A2 (OMG x10)

So my L1R5 is 11, CCA marks can cut it to 9. Makes me on par with Elias, Leslie Lau (I think) and perhaps a dozen other people. I am the secondbest scoring student in SIS i think, cause my other friend there got 10. Grrrr

THAT IS SUCH A PROBLEMATIC MARK.

1. Either little or No hope on acjc or acsi now. May try anderson.
2. Makes me fine for SAJC, Catholic or Nanyang, which I dun really want to go.
3. Makes the choice of choosing either to go JC or NS first all the more 50:50 than ever.

So now I'm having a bad headache.

Krkrkrkrpp

My sister is in heaven in New York. But the weather there is bad. If not, she says that the selection of food available will make me love this place and condemn singapore to hell if I came to Buffalo. Their fruits, esp apples, are so BIG, SWEET FROM TASTE TO SMELL even from afar, and so whole and perfect, not like the rubbish in NTUC and cold storage that's pricked by thousands of aunties' nails. Their eggs are so BIG and they have so many kinds of bread it makes ours look pathetic. To illustrate, if you ate one kind per day, you wont even be close to finishing all of their types after a year. And their bread is HUGE. Their burgers are fantasche, so good they make even Carls Junior ot any Ramly or whatever you have here simply crap.
And their branded bags, jackets, etc are so much cheaper there. Dada bought a Universtiy at Buffalo baseball cap and jacket and a NYPD shirt that I think looks GREAT!!! thanks dad

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/__cDknPvyNS4/SW1cnAA5VlI/AAAAAAAAABE/9la482EiIMY/s320/DSC00564.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290986962318612050" />
So all cats are outta their bags.

11 December 2008

Its been almost a month since the O levels ended, and this blog is like six feet underground or not quite there yet.

Some people have been asking about what i've been doing lately and what's in for me in future. Well, here goes.

Facebook has become the newest addition to my favorite haunts, whenever I switch the com on, to play Heroes Ability, Pet Society and that's just about all. If not, then I'm snooping around youtube watching Gundam 00 and whatever japanese anime or show good enough for my fussy audience of a mind.

If i'm not online then I'm cleaning out the house, starting with the kitchen and the air cons, or teaching PSLE math to my younger sister. Just found out there's simple Sec 1 algebra in P6 Syllabus now, but no prob. In the meantime, I am planning to enlist in NS next year, then after 2 years the you-know-what will come true. So I'll be taking SAT Reasoning Test again next year. From now to that test, which is quite some time, I'm not sure of what else to do. Should I get a job? Should I pick up some courses? Should I actually go and study A Level? I dunno. For now, I have deferred all my applications to community colleges, so I'm not going anywhere for now. My job now is to clean out the house, get fit, keep an eye on my younger sister's grades, research whatever I can on all the things I want to do in future, decide on what I want to do, survive the brainwashing at NS and maybe perhaps do a little something more about my pacific ring of fire of a face. I won't be going back to the kampung this holiday as almost every household there has at least one dengue or chikugunia(can't spell it right, but it's another mosquito-transmitted disease that's less lethal than dengue) case. They say dengue is even more likely to be fatal on the second time you get it, contrary to the usual disease. So there. Stuck here in boring old Singapore when people here are flying all over the world right now, e.g. to China(Kenneth), Taiwan, Hong Kong (UVPHS -.-), Europe, Korea, Japan, Thailand(crazy people), etc. Holiday Holiday Holiday.

My elder sister will fly off with my dad on 4 Jan next year, one day after I turn 17. Dad will settle her down there then come back. Then I won't see her for another 4 years at least; She's doing pharmaceutical sciences (not to be mistaken with pharmacy. Pharmaceutical science is to research and develop new drugs while pharmacy is to just know the drugs and sell them) at a good university in new york. Gonna miss her. At least I can use the webcam to show her whatever things she loves to eat at CNY next year and watch her drool and throw a helluva tantrum when she realises she can't eat them. Penang Laksa...Eight Treasure Rice...Shark's Fin Soup...HAHAHA. I am so Bad.

Oh yeah next year will also finally be a year where my birthday shall not be on a first week or even first day of school. WhooHoo it's good for a change.

10 November 2008

For all those who have lost their minds; hopefully, you'll get a good laugh out of this.
So today's question is:

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Kindergarten teacher: To get to the other side.

Plato: For the greater good.

Aristotle: It is the nature of chickens to cross roads.

Karl Marx: It was a historical inevitability.

Captain James T. Everyone other than the Sec4s are having their exams, and the estate around the school has become something like a ghost town. Not that I'm complaining.

It rained really bad on wednesday morning. Even taking the sheltered route still left me all drenched on one side, dry on the other. The week seemed to be rather cool until today when mr raincloud decided to answer to the call of nature in the night, leaving the day hot, sultry, and rather hypertonic to me. Physics SPA III was fun, worked with kai jie and edwin on our paper experiment. Built a simple parachute, though it took a few tries to get dropping it right. Had a small chunk of eraser to play newtonian weight. To eliminate flipping i tried dropping the para upside down with the weight on top og the paper plus an extra small hole poked in the paper center, and it fell nicely. Though other people around us thought we wouldn't succeed and became amused by our efforts we still did, eliminating a lot of key sources of error other normal experiments they would have.

JLim not here again. Had fun playing floorball for the first time in 4 years, and i wondered was it just me, or has the stick really shrunk so much? Felt real great to block the balls kenneth, shi hong, and oliver tried their best to send at me, but i tired rather quickly running back and forth across the hall to retrieve their stray balls and intercepting them. EL was slack, just some small passage to read about smallpox and a discussion about diseases before chinese remedial.

Went to J8 with kenneth, leslie, marcus, leon and jien li for lunch. Ate at subway, though it was my first time ordering there (usually dad would buy for us) and due to a little misunderstanding I ended up buying a foot long sandwich instead of the small 6 inch, which was 2.5 times the size of the other sandwiches. Paid around SGD 8.50 though I think it could be more worthwhile than the others, as they bought full meal, which involved paying 9.20 for a small sandwich, a cookie and a drink. Leon was quite suprised that I could eat and finish off a foot-long sub, faster than either him or leslie, as to leon a six inch sub is too big for him. I'd love to bet what more tzxn is capable of than me.

Toured the bishan area, passed by a coffeeshop where i once ate seafood dinner with dad and y2j (my bigsis). Leon collected a rather nice new pair of specs in a tiny spectacle shop. We later toured the library, whose 3rd and 4th levels I had not seen yet. Left at 2.20pm for choir, which comprised of dance practice. I can feel that we had made a lot of improvement today compared to our last practice despite the time gap.

The two sec 3 baritone sLs on probation were finally punished by kuek for their unsatisfactory attitude. Though I think itsa little late to punish them only now. The penalty was light, being a "first time", but we all have a common understanding that that's a serious understatment. Kuek made them go Down 20. I think down 50 and 10 rounds around the full length of the field plus basketball court could be a more worthwhile penalty at least for one of the two-The less satisfactory of the two. The balance of power will shift very soon as we sec 4s step down VERY soon. The last challenge will decide who will be in to stay.

Also opened up the photo albums depicting the lost memories I have about living in england. I wonder if I should take the time to scan all those photos, which I estimate to be near 150 of them, and upload to my photobucket. Who'd like to see a preview of the Yeap family living in Liverpool, 1996?

Before I forget, Kenneth saboed me to join a team mr see wanted to send to a house-circuit building competition. That wasn't very nice, mr kor.

That will be it for now.

25 April 2008

Been quite a eventful week. Everyone's abuzz about the dining etiquette programme, particularly something everyone knows too well. MdmJLim has successfully won the top prestigious award for being the first teacher out of 9 to complete the syllabus for history. One down, eight to go.

This morning we all had wooden blocks to play. Me, Jien Li, Leslie and Kenneth were first to play with them halfway through the practical like sif we have deprived childhoods. Built stonehenge...Leslie thought he could make me lose by building a tower and making me draw a block out, and if the assembly falls then that's it. But I drew one and it didn't. Too bad. Leslie lost by taking the easiest one-the board and protractor on the very top- and the entire thing fell. Loser.

While the rest had the fun of playing floorball, Nicholas and I had to run 2.4. Finished badly today though i didn't play foul at all. 1740. Mr Ang told me its not right since there are heavier peeps who passed. Hey, PLEASE, zxn cheated throughout the last run months ago just to pass. I didn't. Nick didn't run the entire roundabout at the general office twice, while the rest, all girls, played cheat too. So much for integrity. He'll suffer worse than me in NS. I bet.

SC EL class is HOPELESS. Wish Mr Kang was back. My comprehension skills and ability to write essays on the spot has degraded. Wonder WHY SHE GOT THE POST OF TEACHING US. SHE'S A TERRIBLE MESS. And because of those ppl who made it to our EL class this year just because of eoys last year, who have very, I admit, terrible vocab and grrammar, she's teaching the wrong things at the wrong time. Adverbs and vocab and grammar! What TIME is IT? DO WE HAVE TIME FOR THIS? CAN'T YOU GIVE MORE COMPHRE AND COMPO? HEY it's O lvls soon! And plus an average of 15 minutes late per lesson and some asshole who always have to waste time in class worse...******* chua...

Oh well and anyway, kenneth took two tries before he got one partner. Barry is hopeless. I thought everyone said he was rejected 30 times, but turned out it's 13. As Dawn quoted 'Who'd go out with a boy who plucks his eyelashes?' Who'd go out with a pervert? Anyway I succeeded on the first try. It's also my first time I've asked someone of the opposite sex out. Planning for it was like as stomach-wrenching as FPS. At least I beat kenneth and barry. HA. That was some challenge. Thank the maker. Time to get 'dress robes' soon. My big sis will help me. Just need to find the time, with chinese prelim and o lvl paper coming up.

Finally managed to pull myself off japanese shows until I saw a new trailer on youtube. It tempted me too much.

So much for having a greatly significant childhood icon. The movie's out in Japan while I'm having the big exam. I am so naive so God save me.

大決戦!超ウルトラ8兄弟

Life is cruel. ><

29 March 2008

Last night I went out after choir with Laurel and Jun Hao and Lim Han to eat dinner at the Sun Plaza's kopitiam. We stayed there, joking around and teasing each other til about 9pm when Jun Hao reminded me out of the blue that there was Bio SPA II the next day, taking me aback. I had almost completely forgotten after all the laughing we shared over dinner.

So Bio SPA II was easy. A tiny, shrivelled peanut to burn as offering to the gods and calculate its energy content. Half to burn in mid-air under a boiling tube of water and another half to burn within a crucible. Measure delta-H and use an interesting formula to calculate energy value, then conclude which experiment was less accurate in calculating energy value. I chose B was less accurate as I think the crucible is a better conductor of heat than the air.

Ltaer dad fetched me to go to ACJC Funorama. Can say that the food is expensive and not all that fantastic. There was little diversity in the games, as 60% of the stalls were the same theme: pay to throw a ball into holes. The smaller the hole the more points you get. My sister's stall had an ipod for first prize if you can get a floorball into the highest, smallest hole. There were many roasted chicken, hot dogs, pasta and pizza stalls. But overall, I think the games were disappointing as ever.

I met some of the St Gabriel's Choir peeps there : Lionel and a few others. They have seniors in ACJC, probably there by DSA. Couldn't find Dexter. Was hot hot hot day, to add to my misery.

After leaving at 2 plus dad brought me, youngersis, and mom to NTU Alumni Club and swam fabout for an hour before going back home. Sooooooooooo exhausted.

Recently, many Youtube uploader videos, especially those depicting full episodes, plus many users who upload full episodes, have totally vanished without a trace. Usaully there would be a notice saying this user is no longer available nut here's none now. Wonder what's going on.

20 March 2008

This is a random post with no real purpose other than to just speak my mind for the sake of it and update this blog.

Today was a rather slow-paced day. I was wondering if CL would ever end with those retarded and I mean literally retarded jokers in class. EL isn't such a subject to look forward to anymore, though mrs chong assigned me to key in everyone's comprehension marks for the terribly done Nov 2000 paper. *Sigh*

And after school I was the first one to arrive at mrs chong's class for remedial, followed by xuemei, yeesin, yingjun, then zhi kai and derek. I arrived at 2.15 but waited til 2.35 for mrs chong to decide to leave her JJ accounting matters to her two sec 3 students and start with me on my paper just as xuemei came in ; the guzhen students came at 2.45, zhi kai at 2.50 and finally derek at a superlate 3pm. Ended at 3.55pm.

By the end of math tuition, which was from 7pm to 9pm, I was beginning to feel burnt out and the term deetoowaiideeaxsquare wouldn't stop resounding in my head, but I enjoy every math tuition lesson I have, not to be confused with remedial.

'Fraid that it's a terrible year to hook up on new distractions. The Japanese subcultures are getting a hold on me. Evangelion...rider...ultra...gundam 00...god I gotta stop.

13 March 2008

Today was chem SPA. The phy/chem SPA II were much easier than the last. I got molar mass of 71.5g. Endpt at 16.5cm3. But I'm worried about the physics one as I got 3 ohms. Great...

Today I also went to recon the site where the combined cca concert will be held. Head over to my new photobucket for more. I met up with wilson at woodlands mrt after SPA and went to foodcourt for lunch, but only both of us turned up on time. Met Ms Chung waiting outside Swensens waiting for mrs wong. To our horror they were later joined by Mrs Wendy Tang, Ms Janice Zhang and Ms Caren Lai. On who's treat I wonder?

Everyone else was late. But we and alwyn waited for Elena and thus we only got to Republic poly at 1.30pm, half an hour late. Pamela, Sze Hoe, Shernett, Noeleen were superlate. There, we found our way into the theatre and backstage we met up with the rest of the group. Elias, Kuek Jing, Gladys, Sisca, Alicia Pan and couple other teachers and students were there. We checked out the MANY changing rooms and I hereby declare this place to be a great place to prepare for performances. The rooms are VERY Clean, rather spacious for some, with clean toilets complete with shower rooms. A far cry from SCH, VCH, and TPY HDB Hub.

Though it sounds rather lethargic this time I mean it. This place should be good.

24 February 2008

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What a relief til I see my papers. So for now I can play a bit.

Part 2 Sitiawan
I should have completed that post long ago, but CNY's like weeks ago so I've kinda lost the heart and drive to go on about it but here goes though...whatever is still in my head...

I've got many uncles and my dad's the youngest of the siblings. All of them are loudmouthed and when they talk to each other or to my ahma they literally roar in dialect. Yes, to my ahma too their own mom as ever since grandpa died when I was P5 she's changed drastically. She seems to be a little kid somehow in her head, and in many other ways wierder still. She no longer cooks, or even washes her own clothes, so the second oldest of my uncles sends food to her and my fourth uncle, who has stayed with her all his life, has to wash her clothes and hey it isn't right. My ahma sometimes doesn't even bring out her laundry; she simply dumps them and changes into another one, and later changes into another pair from the same pile of filthy clothes, so we dunno hell what's wrong with her. She doesn't wash her hands at all even after using the toilet, and her nails have...gosh I think I'll forget describing. It's horrible business and ewwww nononono I don't wanna go on about those hands. She once, in the middle of the night, hobbled outside the house to do god knows what for what, and she fell into the drain outside the house, and she got injured, and lay there for hours before my fourth uncle had any inkling she's missing. Once she climbed a chair to do god knows what to the clock when she can't even fix a clock and she fell. When she was better she went to do it again, and that ticked my uncle off. So the brothers all discussed on the feasibility of hiring a maid. My dad was more decisive than his brothers as he immediately hired one to do the laundry and tidy ahma's room and do the occasional housework. The brothers were arguing who to hire, who to pay. So there.

So summarised: my ahma's not herself for years.

Oh I forgot. Whenever we returned she could only recognise my sisters. She would look at me and keep asking my dad 'simi da?' something like that in dialect, which means 'who is he?' She'd keep asking for the next hour, the same question, and even after a shouting by either my uncle or dad every five minutes she hasn't stopped.

In our family children are placed in high priority and focus, but not like spoilt kids. We, or at least up to my generation, are taught to respect elders at the same time. But not all of us cousins or nephews or unlces or aunts of each other reflect so, it depends on who's our parent. My dad studied in Canada and Liverpool and here in Singapore before, and has grown up in poverty before, so we siblings have taken after him to be a lot different than any of our generation, I think. Some relatives say I'm more like my mom usually, but more like dad when I'm uptight or under the gun. I don't know...I don't want to take parents as an identity.

The reson why children are important in our Ye family is because for every generation one child or two of the Yeap family has died, a hard blow to my grans and the uncles and aunts. I am one of the few of my generation to know this fact.

This is grim enough. Take a brighter side of Sitiawan.

FOOOOOD

Almost every year we went back we'd definitely go for penang laksa for supper once during the trip. My elder sis LOVES the laksa. It's radically different than what we got here in Singapore. The noodles are springy and the soup isn't like thick and santan infested, but dark red and spicy like hell. It's got a very unique taste, indescribable. But I don't each it so much, as somebody's tongue isn't quite what Singaporeans have for spice and hot stuff.

The laksa is sold by a street hawker every night at the same place. It's been there for years. It isn't in a mall or even a coffeeshop. Literally a street hawker. Many people come for penang laksa or their equally fantastic charkwayteow. One day I should take a photo of the stall to show you all.

Sitiawan has a lot of dishes you can't really fing in Singapore, I think I've said that previously. They have specialties like a certain flat, savory, crispy biscuit filled with pork, onions, or something sweet, a certain steamed mantou that is wrapped like a swiss roll but filled with either peanut of red bean, and it is huge, the size of a big fist, so on and so fore. I haven't tried all of them yet.

Back to the present and clock back a week. Common tests are finally over, but I missed the Geography paper and cant' take it, so I'll have to use my class test mark which was 21 out of 25. Shucks. I hated the A Math and Science papers. I keep being unable to finish the last question. Bio was the only paper of the trinity I finished. Chemistry I think I'm going to drop to a B4. Physics too. 45 minutes. That wasn't nice, science peeps. But I'll get back at you.

Got cough and stomach flu again. WHAT DID I TELL YOU GUYS ABOUT ME GETTING SICK EVERY TIME THERE'S AN EXAM? To cheer myself up the night I had fever before the geog paper I smsed Kenneth and the Bangla 'and don't send me another get well soon sms message or I will scratch your faces.' I wasn't serious, but if Bangla had the nuts to send it back I would have considered doing it.

Finally, after a long time, I am back in choir!!! Friday we SLs conducted the choir sessions without any of the conductor's help. It wasn't as bad as I expected, but the disclipline of the tenors and the baritone Sec 3 SLs on probation and the SL living a few meters from me had better improve. I feel like kicking one of the tenor SLs out of probation. He's never shown respect for anyone even ms yee. Why we chose all 5 Sec 3 boys was all were to be tested, we were driven to a corner on who to choose.

I hereby take my crown off and give it to Si Yang for his faboulous vocal performance in Salmo 150. His lalalalalalalaa is better than mine.

Been watching a bit of the new Japanese series Kamen Rider Kiva and looking at what makes Jonathan Lee so affectionate on Gundam Seed and GSDestiny. And they're taking a hold on me. Since the next major ultra media masterpiece isn't going to be here til Fall 2008, where many of the ultras you all know are joining together for one big movie. Tiga's in, Dyna's in, Gaia's in, the ultras up to Ace are in, BUT I PRAY THAT IT WOULD NOT BE ANOTHER TIGA DYNA GAIA BATTLE IN HYPERSPACE. That movie which ran on kidscentral for how many times wasn't a good one. I swear that Tsuburaya Productions have shown stuff so much better than the series shown here in Singapore. Zearth was a TOTAL SUCKER as it was meant to be a parody. ULTIMATE HERO and ALIEN INVASION/BATTLE FOR EARTH were american and austrailian ultra flops that didn't make it. But Tiga was at the time nothing on Earth. Mebius brought the kid out of new fans and old ultra fans who are now a majority of the senior Japanese populace. Dyna wasn't quite nice as it was meant to be light-hearted and kiddy. Nexus, though didn't score in Japan, was on par to international fans' of Tiga of 1996.

I'm still embracing my childhood if I had one. I left on sunday morn, and the journey back to sitiawan, perak, was simply smooth. Not so many cars yet as we choose an early date and early time to leave. We left for the Causeway at around 5.20am, got across and by 10.20 we were in KL. Reached Sitiawan at about 1.30pm and had lunch at a restoran there before unloading at ahma's house. Yay. The fish maw. The tofu soups. I'm back in my dad's hometown.

There's an ACS Sitiawan and I mean seriously anglo-chinese school in sitiawan. My dad was a student there in a dinosaur age. Their school crest is very similar to the Singapore ones. But sadly few ACPeople in singapore even know if they had sister schools in M'sia for all the Islam it is. Hmmm. I never quite said so much about my dad's hometown. Let's go further.

There are so many freaking clinics with doctors, all chinese, in the town. For every street there was an average of at least three in a row of buildings. I actually counted. All from ACS. ACS also produced lots of engineers. Some of the clinics were given funny names. Like Clinic Ding and two shops later Clinic Dang. I remeber Lee Surgery, probably the best clinic there as all of my siblings and me were treated there before when we were babies, and Clinic Vijayapadmum - catchiest name of em all.
My sisters love to joke about that clinic.

In the kampungs I've seen kids of the size and age of primary school kids riding a freaking big motorbike all on their own. Girls and boys at our age now are riding motorbikes to and from school. Motorbikes are more obvious as a core means of transportation there than bicycles and protons. And our car was like the only Cefiro 230 for miles. Potential scratch magnet to the M'sians who don't like a Singaporean carplate.

When we came back it was hot. Inside our bedroom there at ahma's it was barely bearable as we installed an old aircon that used to be in my room in Woodlands during Primary school era. Spent my time doing differentiation and studying for common tests. I actually did. Unbelievable.

I'll update more later. Its 6pm and dinnertime. CUL8ter.

1 February 2008

Lalalalalalalalalalala

Got sick again, right after I recovered from a security breach in the trachea. Either MdmJLim or Kenneth passed them on. Cough cough cough. MS YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (that was out of the blue)

So far I've been unable to perform at any function our choir had to got to, e.g. Open House, and the upcoming CNY. Sad. But I've never quite attended CNY@PHS before in all 4 years. Too bad.

At least I'm feeling a wee bit better now. I'd prefer not to talk about anything too academic. Any business about it is between me and my books. For now.

(paradox) I hate it when people high up in power prefer to set common tests right after CNY. I bet they loooooooove watching us fail because most people aren't in the exam mood in this duration. How festive. Show me someone who says our school O level results were good and I'll show you a liar.(paradox)

I've added a little something right at the bottom of the page. Time to take antibiotics. I've been coughing badly til last saturday morning, where I finally coughed up bloooood and confirmed what I was afraid of the previous day. Doctor says I need to finish my antibiotic course; if I don't get any better, I'm subject to an X-Ray of my Respiratory system. I am finally feeling SOOOO MUCH BETTER after the medication. So I can't perform once again for choir CCA Open House. You have my most sincerest apologies. And please don't fret about my condition so much, people. Even if I die of bronchitis (touch wood) or even pneumonia (touch more wood), life goes on. So please.

There's homework.

Ewww. For the first time I'm organising myself properly since P6 era...some looong, anicient, prehistoric time. The organiser's definitely a decent improvement over the previous primitive models...good. I'm listing my homework, though it seems to take forever for me to finish. My homework was rarely overdue last time; either they get lost in this chaotic staff system or it vanishes into thin air. Lovely.

I'm thinking of studying something biochemical in nature when I'm in JC. Aiming for A1s in EL, E math, Bio, Chem, Physics, and CoreGeog. So I'd get a score equal to or less than 10, including 2 CCA marks off the dock. ACJC is no.1 priority for now.

It is very rare for me to comment that English lessons are boring. That's possible with my new teacher. First lesson was origami. Make paper cranes for luck. I never liked origami even though I'm kinesthetic. Second lesson was impromptu debate. The topic sucked. I never like to debate: I can't think on my feet very well, so Law is not a definite option for me. So paiseh that day. Wish I hadn't sat in front.

How I wish Mr Albert Kang or Mr Edmund Choo was teaching me...At least I do talk to Elmo over MSN.

Haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

2 Jan 2008

...and thus the year 2007 came to pass...

It's been a horrible holiday.

1. My elder sis caught some nasty virulent lifeforms off a friend of hers in her ACJC Symphonic Band. Til now that friend has not recovered, my sister has, but I have been sick for an entire December because of her. Looks like my dad's next.

2. My body temperature kept oscillating back and forth like a pendulum, and my immune system can't seem to make up its mind whether a little fever could make the bugs fry or not.

3. My trachea decided that going overtime in mucal production is what granny knows best for my health. And coughing was tuned to involve my stomach to try to make me puke at the same time.

4. The unwanted guests seem to be having the time of their lives because I could barely manage my EL homework and nothing else. And I look at how many blithering AddMath questions I have to do by friday.

On the plus side...

1. I went out to Changi for dinner on New Year's Eve, and saw T3. After seeing it, I wanna go HongKong with the 3 choirs this year after O levels from there. It's HUGE, COMFY AND HELL ITS FANTASTIC. It sure is even bigger than T2, and the architecture was breathtaking. You all gotta see it.

2. My old Motorola L6 finally went kapoot on 16 December 07, and for my christmas cum birthday present I got a W660i Sony Ericcson Walkman Phone, which is such a relief and a terrific change. It's even more advanced and brilliant than Barry's "new" one...duh.

3. Finally its a year where my birthday isn't on the first day of school. It has been for quite a number of consecutive years. It's good for a change.

People ask me what's my new year's resolution. So my new year's resolution is 800 x 600. Just being a bit lame here. My sisters kept on singing to my mom...

"...You better not shout (giggles)...
...You better not cry (a bit more giggles)
...You better not puke too cos' I'm telling you why (being a bit hysterical now)...

...MENOPAUSE IS COMIN' TO TOWNNN (you could guess what state my sisters were in now)"

Oh well, other than that it wasn't much of a holiday. Just hope I can do excellent in 2008, try not to crack my head like a coconut over O Levels.
